The eighth article of Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education and Training Regulations, titled Academic Counseling, is as follows:
Academic consultancy ARTICLE 8 — (1) In order to help students solve their educational, personal and administrative problems, academic advisors are appointed from among the academic staff upon the recommendation of the department heads and the decision of the relevant unit administrative boards before the start of the academic year and notified to the Rectorate.
(2) Academic advisors allocate two hours a week during the education period to help solve the other problems of the students assigned to their responsibilities, such as registration renewal, course selection and graduation.
(3) Academic advisors may limit the total credits of the courses to be taken below the maximum course load, taking into account the success status of the students assigned to their responsibilities, provided that the principles set forth in this Regulation are adhered to.
(4) Other issues related to the duties and responsibilities of the consultants are determined by the relevant units.
