Faculty of Theology

Mission & Vision

Our mission is to be aware of the accumulation created in the past by referencing the main sources of the Islamic religion, which is human-centered and brings honor to humanity. To train competent theologians who have gained the habit of lifelong learning and self-development by educating themselves in a way that can contribute to this accumulation, recognize the values of the society in which they live, evaluate cultural heritage, interpret the experienced life and produce solutions to problems from an academic point of view.

Our vision is to be able to compare our own religion and culture with different religions and cultures, to be aware of our own national identity and to create our own values in this period when borders are removed and all cultures and societies on the earth communicate with each other more easily. Societies that are late in recognizing their own values or are not aware of them are more likely to risk losing their identity in this interaction. Members of Theology Faculties know that besides their academic duties, they have a secondary duty of being a model for the society, because they are aware that transferring religious information to the society from mouths with insufficient and incompetent religious knowledge, as well as presenting these people to the society as an example, have negative consequences that cannot be compensated. Therefore, it has become a necessity today to support the theology field with new members who are absolutely competent and authoritative, who have adopted the values of the society, are open to interdisciplinary coordination and have a holistic perspective, and can set an example for people.
